The update brings Quest, a story mode with seven chapters and 84 hand-built levels, a cast of playable enchanters, new block sets and a limited-time Halloween event. Enchanted Blocks is free on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, with Google Play coming soon.

Mischievous mushroom folk knocked the castle’s spellstones loose and hexed them. Now the forest is tangled in thorns, and its creatures are caged. Only an enchanter, and a clever block or two, can set things right.

Quest is the new heart of the game. Each chapter follows one enchanter and one trapped pet across 12 levels that get a little harder every time. The board fights back, too… fog drifts in, crystals burst out of the squares, cobwebs and chains lock blocks in place. Halloween chapters star Clark and Kin, and a harvest trilogy carries the story into Thanksgiving.
